As seasons change we welcome in fresh colors. Industry leaders are leaning into the 2022 color palette forecast, and this year its centered around health and well-being. Infusing the 2022 color forecast with fresh air and a calm and peaceful vibe, we are seeing serene blues and grounded earth tones. This is further melting together the interior and exterior into one harmonious space. We welcome in this color optimism and are inspired on the ways to bring this into our interior spaces in furniture and textures.

Pantone’s 2022 Color of the Year made an incredible impact. As an entirely new hue created, Very Peri was created to serve as 'Color of the Year' which has never been done before.

Very Peri (17-3938) this brand new purpley blue can be described as "a vivifying violet with electric red undertones — boasts both constancy and energy, consistency and excitement." This year, Very Peri is bringing forth renewed energy to us as we emerge from isolation and adapt to the new normal.

We love matching Very Peri with neutrals like taupes and creams, or richer shades like navy and brown. When it comes to applying this to your space, start with it on pillows, wallpaper, paint or art. Don't shy away from textures as well, soft boucles and velvets tone down richer or more vibrant colors to make them more approachable.

The best part about this color of the year is that it was a form of expression, we are inspired to capture this energy with the products we offer at Design Theory.

At Design Theory our research on trends, design theory, and design education reflect hues that manifest comfort into interior spaces. Neutrals that represent nature and ground, blues that represent bright skies and clear waters, and greens that reflect fresh fields and flowers. Looking at color psychology, green represents nature, growth and revitalization. Green is reflective of things fresh and new, we embrace the concept of new beginnings and welcome it in with green tones. With endless options on fabrics and colors, we welcome you to apply the 2022 color forecast through us.
